Rod Fallon, the beloved father of three JMU College of Business students, had a passion for innovating and creating new and exciting business ideas.

He always had a beautiful smile on his face, an infectious sense of humor, a positive outlook for the day, and heartfelt, meaningful, well-considered advice that made us feel so special.  He lived each day inspired by God and Jesus and excitedly embraced every minute he shared with his family.  Rod believed in good, old-fashioned hard work and had a passion for creating new and exciting business ideas; he started several profitable businesses and always demonstrated integrity, loyalty, creativity and enthusiasm.

Rod loved the scripture from Matthew 25:40 in the Bible, "Truly I tell you, whatever you do for the least of these brothers, you do for me" and he honored this by purposefully bringing out the best in others, especially those whom sought a friend or guidance.  He was a caring coach, teacher and mentor and made a positive difference in the lives of so many young people by kindling inspiration and fostering growth within them.

Rod loved everything about JMU!  He regularly visited his children on campus, enjoyed walking the Quad, eating at Top Dog, and looking at the rocks and minerals in the Mineral Museum on campus.  Rod's family is so proud to honor his beautiful spirit and legacy through the Rodney J. Fallon Scholarship and The Fallon Challenge!
